- Solver v3 is live: All SODAX and partner app swaps now route through the upgraded infra.
- Better reliability: Solver v3 introduces a new "Coordinator", making execution up to 5x faster and reducing stuck transactions.
- Outcome-focused: Parallel steps and transaction batching make sure your cross-network actions have the best chance to complete as intended, even when network conditions get messy.
Today, we are releasing Solver v3 and upgrading the execution engine that powers SODAX. It is designed to make cross-network actions more robust, smarter and better at handling the "messy" reality of decentralized finance.
The Brain Behind the Operation
To understand v3, it helps to understand what the Solver actually does.
The Solver is the "execution brain" of SODAX. When you want to swap an asset or move a position across networks, you are submitting an "intent" (a goal you want to achieve).
The Solver’s job is to figure out how to achieve that goal. It looks at the entire SODAX liquidity inventory, tracks which networks are congested, and what the fees look like. From what is available it creates a concrete plan to get you from your starting point to your intended outcome.
In previous versions, this process was effective but with many linear steps. In v3, we’ve improved on it by introducing a new SODAX system component called the Coordinator.
Enter the Coordinator
In the past, the steps required to deliver your assets, and for the system to rebalance its books happened in a rigid sequence. If one internal step hung or delayed, your transaction would have waited or failed with it.
Solver v3 changes this with the Coordinator, which now lets SODAX separate the "User Path" (getting you your assets) from the "Internal Path" (rebalancing the SODAX liquidity inventory). On top of that, it also batches path-specific same-chain transactions into the same block on the blockchain wherever it can.
Why this matters for you:
- Faster swaps: Because your “User Path” isn't blocked by internal rebalancing tasks, swaps can complete faster and more reliably. Batched steps which execute in the same block add to this speed too.
- Resilience: A delay or issue in one “path” doesn’t automatically cancel or stall the other, minimising the risk of failed transactions.
- Clarity: The Coordinator monitors every step, ensuring that complex actions happen in clear steps (which you can see on your swap screen and on SODAX Scan).
Making DeFi simple, but smart
Solver v3 is live and coordinating execution across the SODAX ecosystem. For builders, this means a more stable integration surface. For users, it simply means that when you click "Swap" or "Bridge," the system works the way you expect it to.
We are committed to building infrastructure that absorbs complexity so you don't have to. Solver v3 is just our next step in that mission.
For more on today’s release you can hear from the builders behind the Solver in our latest podcast, or try it out for yourself on SODAX Swap.
